Civil War Soldiers



Palmer:


Henry W. Palmer ( 1842-1916) was a member of the 49th regiment during the Civil war and a loyal member of the G.A.R. "He was always a marked man because of his soldierly bearing and strong and intelligent features. Perhaps more than any man in this vivinity he reminded us of the Puritan fathers." [12-1916 obituary].







Brooks:




The Brooks Stone; all males in the family, father and three sons, were killed in action during the Civil War.




Huxley Cemetery, Norfolk Road, Village of Southfield, Town of New Marlborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
